Why Congress didn’t hold dharna when Rajiv Gandhi said only 15 paise reaches the needy against each Rupee released: Rupani asks Congress

Porbandar: Reacting to State Congress’s dharna events yesterday against corruption in government departments, Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani today questioned why Congress didn’t agitate against corruption when its own leader Rajiv Gandhi had as prime minister stated that a Rupee released from Delhi becomes 15 paise when it reaches to poor beneficiary.

‘Why Congress members were mum at that time when their own Prime Minister had admitted corruption?,’ Rupani asked.

Speaking at launching of 3-day long 11th edition of statewide Garib Kalyan Mela from Porbandar, Chief Minister Rupani further said, ‘district panchayats ruled by Congress are protesting online system of issuance of non-agricultural permissions because their outlets of corruption are going to shut down due to this decision.’

It’s worth noting that a few days ago, Chief Minister Rupani had in his speech said that highest corruption was happening in revenue department followed by police.
