Gandhinagar:Senior Vice President of ruling BJP in Gujarat I K Jadeja today said that it was highly likely that the announcement of the dates of next Lok sabha polls would be made by the the Election Commission in the first week of March this year.

Talking to newsmen here on the sidelines of a party meeting with regard to preparation of the polls, Jadeja said that it was highly likely that the dates of the LS polls could be announced in the first week of March.

‘The party workers, leaders, organization and the government were all working together for the preparation of the polls keeping this in mind,’ he said.

‘The party has prepared a road map of events and poll programs for the same,’ he added.

Meanwhile, main opposition congress in Gujarat is also holding round of meetings in presence of party in-charge Rajiv Satav, LoP Paresh Dhanani and other senior leaders at its state headquarters in Ahmedabad in connection with preparations of the LS polls. The party observers from all the 26 LS seats were also participating in it. Before the meeting Satav said that the party was giving full focus to all the 26 seats rather than on some selected seats.
