LRD recruitment exam in Gujarat re-conducted successfully

Gandhinagar: The Lokrakshak Dal recruitment exam was re-conducted successfully today at over 2400 centers across Gujarat.

A centralized control room in the Raskshashakti university premises in Ahmedabad was made to keep an eye on the conduct of exam which earlier on December 2 was cancelled in last minute due to paper leak.

As per initial estimates the number of aspirants appearing for the exam was (of total registered around 8.76 lakh) was comparatively 4 to 8% less than that of the last time (exam was cancelled after the attendance of examines).

Most of the students who appeared in the exam said that apart from reasoning part which was slightly tough, the remaining paper was easy.

Though the exam was conducted from 11 am to 12 pm, at many of the centers the aspirants were given much early entry in the center as a precautionary measure.

They were also checked with bio-metric device before giving the entry . Photo copy shops in the vicinity (100 meters) from all the centers were kept shut to check any possibility of malpractice. All the around 29000 exam rooms were under CCTV monitoring.

Notably, the exam has been conducted to recruit around 9700 lok rakshaks in Gujarat police.
Chairman of the Lok Rakshak Recruitment board and senior police officer Vikas Sahay today said that as per the initial estimates around 7.15 lakh examines of the total 8.76 lakh appeared in the exam today. Elaborate security and emergency arrangements including SOP were done for it. the outstation participants were issued free of charge to and fro tickets in the ST buses from their place of residence to the center on production of the call letter.

Notably, Police has so far nabbed 14 culprits for the earlier paper-leak incident. The exam was earlier cancelled even after the aspirants had taken seats in the exam halls.

The state government had made announcement that the all the outstation participants would be issued free bus tickets for taking the exam during its re-conduct.
