Gujarat is becoming more and more important for Suzuki Group: Toshihiro Suzuki shares company’s future plans here

Gandhinagar: Speaking at inaugural function of Vibrant Gujarat Summit – 2019 at Mahatma Mandir here, Toshihiro Suzuki, President and COO, Suzuki Motors, said his company plans to commission third assembly plants of Suzuki Motors Gujarat in 2020 which will enhance annual production capacity of Suzuki Motors Gujarat to 750,000 units. He said engine and transmission plant in Gujarat will start production shortly enabling integrated manufacturing.
Toshihiro Suzuki announced company’s plans to localise the components of hybrid vehicles followed by Elective Vehicles in tune with the approach of Make in India in the field of electrification of vehicles. He said, this will surely help further expansion of Indian automobile industry.
He said Gujarat is becoming more and more important for Suzuki Group.
