Highlights of investment commitments announced from the stage at Vibrant Gujarat Summit inaugural session

Gandhinagar: Presented below are highlights of investments announced from the stage of Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit 2019 in inaugural session:

– Chromeni Steels pvt Ltd to invest US$ 3 Billion in Dholera SIR to manufacture Stainless Steel and EV Batteries: Guangda Xiang, Chairman, Tsingshan Industries/ Chromeni Steels

– Adani announces Rs. 55000 crore investment in Gujarat; Largest solar hybrid park in Kutch(Rs. 30,000 crore),1 GW data centre park in Mundra,1 million tonne coper smelting and refining project,cement and clinker unit in Lakhpat,Lithium battery unit,expansion of photo voltaic plant. The investment plans announced here are for next five years, said Gautam Adani.

– Torrent Group commits further investment of more than Rs. 10,000 crore across renewable energy, power distribution and gas distribution businesses in Gujarat.

– Kumar Mangalam Birla feels proud of the fact that his company(Ultratech)’s cement was used in construction of Statue of Unity. Says manufacturing growth of Gujarat matches with that of China. Announces plans to invest Rs. 15,000 crore more in Gujarat Kumar Mangalam Birla announces investment of Rs. 15,000 crore in three years in Gujarat in the areas such as staple fiber and chemicals, filament, caustic soda, copper and fertilizer, Dahej harbor, mining and minerals, solar power and green technologies.

– Rosneft says Gujarat has been its preferred investment destination, thanks to unique geographical and infra advantage and very investor friendly policy outlook. Announces 850 million dollar MoU with Gujarat govt by Nayara energy for phase – 1 of a new refinery unit as expansion.

– It was here Jamshedji Tata born. Gujarat is third largest state for our group. We have 25,000 employees here, 50% of them in high tech sector. We are in talks for reaching one million tonne soda ash production in Gujarat, We will increase investment in electric vehicle manufacturing in Gujarat and invest in lithium ion battery and renewable energy in Gujarat: Chandrashekaran, Chairman of Tata Sons.
