NIA conducts raids in Surat and Valsad in connection with havala, terror funding case

Surat: National Investigation Agency(NIA) conducted raids in Surat and Valsad in connection with funding to Lashkar-e-Taiyaba branch Falah-e-Insaniyat.
Raids were conducted at 8 places on Wednesday in which gold, cash and electronics item were recovered. NIA had filed case under unlawful activity(prevention)act, 1967 and started probe. Three days ago a 43-year old Muhammad Hussain Molani alias Bablu Abdul Hamid Molani (Gulzarpur, Nagor, Rajasthan) was arrested. During questioning he told NIA that he received help from 8 locations across India. So far four persons are arrested in this case of havala money and terror funding. Bablu was arrested on Sunday night from Jaipur airport. He was settled in Dubai for last few years and operating havala network. Valsad – Khatkiwad based Arif Dharampuriya is also settled in Dubai for last few years. NIA raided Arif’s Valsad based residence.
