Rahul Gandhi to address rally at Valsad in South Gujarat on February 14

New Delhi: Congress president Rahul Gandhi will launch election campaign for Lok Sabha general elections in Gujarat from Valsad in South Gujarat on February 14.

Valsad is bellwether seat of Lok Sabha which conventionally indicates which party would come to power in the Centre. Valsad seat is presently with BJP. Valsad seat is located in a fashion that it affects Southern Seats of Selvas and Daman also. Valsad seat has significant number of tribal voters too.

Rahul is likely to address public meeting in North Gujarat also this month.

Gujarat is geographically divided mainly in zones such as North Gujarat, Central Gujarat, South Gujarat, Saurashtra and Eastern Tribal Belt. Rahul is likely to address rallies in each of these zones along with road-show/public meetings in Ahmedabad and possibly other cities ahead of Lok Sabha general elections 2019.

Congress had won none of 26 seats in previous Lok Sabha election. The party however hopes not only to reopen its account but win several seats this time around in tribal, rural and agriculture dominated areas.
