Gandhinagar: A day after Congress aide PAAS leader Hardik Patel announced that he will contest the next Loksabha polls from a seat in Gujarat, his former close aide Dinesh Bambhania today claimed that Hardik was also interested in contesting assembly election in the state and alleged that congress MLA from Unjha Ashaben Patel had recently resigned without any clear reason on his suggestion to pave way for it.

Bambhaniya, who had during the agitation knocked the door of Gujarat High Court past mid-night after Hardik’s mysterious disappearance in 2015 which turned out to be stunt later, today said that during the quota agitation days Hardik had said that he would contest assembly election on attaining the age of 25 from Tankara or Unjha seat.

‘Before the last assembly election Hardik had secretly without letting the PAAS members know, handed over a list of his favourite people to congress high command for ticket. Ashaben who was not associated with the agitation was in that list. It was his well thought out plan. He knew that Unjha was a big Patidar center and he would get the seat vacated to contest it in the by-poll when he felt like. Now She has vacated the seat without any major reason to do so. It has been done on Hardik’s suggestion. He might contest Unjha assembly by-poll,’ he said.

Bambhaniya also said that his announcement to contest the election has proved that he had misused and misled the community for political reasons.

He claimed that Hardik had in an interview to a Rajasthan based newspaper has clearly said that he would contest the election on Congress ticket as he liked Rahul Gandhi and the party ideology.

Hardik in a video footage from Rajasthan can be heard saying that he would certainly contest the LS polls in 2019. He said that Mamata didi (Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee ) has started the BJP hatao, Samvidhan aur Desh Bachao aandolan (Remove BJP and save constitution and country campaign) and it was spreading all across the country. I would certainly contest the election and the party would be decided later.
