3 death from Swine flu today, 53 new cases detected, toll goes up to 58

Gandhinagar: A total of 3 deaths due to swine flu occurred across Gujarat today taking the cumulative figure of mortality owing to H1N1 virus caused flu to 58.
As per the daily bulletin issued by the state health department 2 deaths were in Bhavnagar district while one was in Botad today.
Apart from this a total of 53 new cases were confirmed today, of these the largest number of 12 was in Ahmedabad.
8 new cases in Rajkot city and district, 5 in Sabarkantha district, 4 each in Vadodara, Surat and Bhavnagar, 3 each in Kutch Junagadh and Dwarka, 2 each in Amreli and Patan and 1 each in Mahesana, Gandhinagar city and Jamnagar were confirmed today.
Deputy Director of Health Dinkar Rawal said that so far since January 1 to February 13 this year, total 1516 cases have been registered in Gujarat of which 879 have been cured while 579 were still under treatment.
