3 more deaths due to swine flu in Gujarat today, 97 new cases registered, total toll over 65

Gandhinagar:3 more deaths due to swine flu occurred across Gujarat today taking the cumulative figure of mortality owing to H1N1 virus caused flu to over 65.
The daily bulletin issued by the state health department did not specify as to where the 3 deaths took place. It only said that 3 under treatment patients have died.
Apart from this a total of 97 new cases were confirmed today, of these the largest number of 37 was in Ahmedabad city while 8 were in Vadodara city and 6 in Surat. Kutch and Mahesana district saw 4 news cases each, Rajkot city and Bhavnagar, Amreli, Banskantha, Patan and Porbandar districts 3 each, Gandhinagar city and Bhavnagar rural and Sabarkantha, Anand, Junagadh and Kheda districts two each while Junagadh city, rural Ahmedabad, rural Vadodara, Botad, Aravalli, Dahod, Panchmahal and Gir-Somnath districts registered one case each today.
According to the bulletin since a total of 609 patients are still under treatment while since January 1 till today a total of 1217 cases have been cured.
