PM to inaugurate Ahmedabad Metro train project on March 4

Ahmedabad: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate Ahmedabad Metro train on March 4. Rs. 620 crore sum has been paid as compensation for acquisition of land for the project. This announcement was made by Deputy Chief Minister Nitin Patel in assembly today.
He said 1110 farmers have given consent for land acquisition for bullet train project. Acquisition is going on across 197 villages of 32 talukas. Out of 508 km total length, bullet train will pass through 349 km length in Gujarat. As on 31st December 2018, in last two years Vadodara district has witnessed 9,22,145 sqm acquisition while in Bharuch it has been 11,33,726 sq m.
Farmers are given four times rate of Jantri or recent sell for acquisition of land. Same term applies for acquisition in urban development authority areas. While in urban areas, double the value of Jantri rate or recent sell deed is paid.
