PM Narendra Modi to be on two-day Gujarat visit from March 4

Gandhinagar: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be on a two-day visit to Gujarat from March 4, during which he would inaugurate various development projects and also lay the foundation of a temple complex, officials said on Thursday.
On March 4, Modi will be in Jamnagar district to lay the foundation stone for a desalination plant for converting sea water into potable water.
The Government of Gujarat has planned several such plants in coastal areas of Saurashtra, Kutch and Central Gujarat in order to further strengthen the water security.
The Prime Minister will also welcome Narmada water in Ranjit Sagar reservoir of Jamnagar under SAUNI project. The water of Narmada is additional to already available Aaji – 3 dam water. It will come from Machhu side via Aaji-3 bypass.
PM will dedicate a 700-bed hospital, 1008 residential unit, 1000-bed Samras hostel, JMC pipeline work.
From Jamnagar, Modi will reach Ahmedabad to inaugurate the first phase of the city’s Metro Rail project, officials said.
PM Modi may travel in 6-km elevated stretch connecting Apparel Park to Vastral in Eastern Ahmedabad.
On the same day, the PM would also inaugurate a newly-built 1,200-bed civil hospital in Ahmedabad. PM had initiated this grand medicity project as Chief Minister of Gujarat.
As per the schedule shared by officials, Modi will lay the foundation stone for a mega temple complex – Vishva Umiya Dham – coming up on the outskirts of the city at a cost of Rs 1,000 crore.
The temple will be dedicated to Maa Umiya, the reigning deity of ‘Kadva Patidar’ community. The entire complex would also house various educational institutes, employment training centre, hospital, sports complex and hostels, a statement issued by the temple trust said.
On March 5, Modi will attend the ‘pran pratishtha’ ceremony, a ritual of consecration of an idol, at the newly-built temple dedicated to Maa Annapurna, the reigning deity of Leuva Patidars, a sub group of the Patel community.
The temple complex, named as Annapurna Dham, is situated near Adalaj village of Gandhinagar district.
Later in the day, Modi will launch the ‘Pradhan Mantri Shramjivi Man dhan Pension Yojana’ at a function to be held in Vastral area of the city, said officials.
This will be the national launch of the scheme, aimed at providing monthly pension of Rs 3,000 for the workers in unorganised sector.
Time wise details
PM will reach Jamnagar at around 11.30 am and will dedicate a 750-bed Guru Govind Singh public hospital. He will also launch SAUNI project and address a public meeting. He will launch a train and also perform ground breaking of a desalination plant.
In the afternoon, he will reach Ahmedabad and perform ground breaking for Umiya Dham campus at Jaspur. He will spend over an hour here.
At 5.30 pm he will reach Vastral and inaugurate the Ahmedabad Metro rail project. He will also perform ground breaking for the second phase of Metro rail project.
He will travel in Metro train.
He will reach Civil hospital at 6.00 pm where he will spend two hours. He will address a gathering and also dedicate a 1200 bed new civil hospital building. He will also interact with Ayushyaman Bharat scheme beneficiaries.
PM will take night halt at Raj Bhavan in Gandhinagar.
Next day at 10.00 am, the PM will perform ground breaking of educational/religious campus in Adalaj. He will do pran pratishtha of Annapurna temple built by Leuva Patel community.
At 11.30 am, he will address a public meeting in Vastral and launch Shramyogi Man Dhan Yojana.
He will leave for Indore from Ahmedabad airport at around 1.30 pm.

starting its operation. The train operation for public at large will be
started from 10 am on 6/3/19.
