SVPI Airport in Gujarat wins three international awards

Ahmedabad: SVPI Airport, Ahmedabad has earned three International ACI-ASQ awards in the category of 5 to 15 million passengers per annum. The passengers have spoken and recognized the successful efforts of SVPI Airport in providing a superior customer experience.

Airport Council International (ACI) is an independent agency that carries out international bench marking of airports through its participative program Airport Service Quality (ASQ) Survey measuring passengers satisfaction across 37 key performance indicators that includes 8 major categories such as access, check-in, security, airport facilities, food & beverage, retail, airport environment and arrival services. ASQ survey measures passengers’ satisfaction whilst they travel through an airport.

ASQ Awards recognize those airports around the world that deliver the best customer experience in the opinion of their own passengers. These world-renowned and internationally established global benchmarking awards for the year 2018 were announced on 6th March 2019 at Montreal, Canada.

In the year 2018, ACI-ASQ survey was carried out at around 346 airports across North America, Latin America and Caribbean, Europe, Middle East and Asia. SVPI Airport has earned the following three International Awards for the year 2018 in the category of 5 to 15 million passengers per annum

1. Best Environment and Ambience
2. Best Customer Service
3. Best Infrastructure and Facilitation

SVPI Airport has shown robust and sustainable growth of more than 22 % on year-on-year basis over the past few years. Total of 9.17 million passengers have travelled through this airport in the year 2017-18 which is set to rise above 11.2 million passengers during the current financial year 2018-19.

These International awards are preceded by the prestigious ASQ Award to SVPI Airport for the ‘Most Improved Airport in the Asia-Pacific Region’ for the year 2017 and ‘National Tourism Award’ for the year 2016 which was awarded last year.
