Give strict democratic punishment to Rahul/Congress for using indecent language against PM: Rajnath to people in Gujarat

Ahmedabad: Union Home Minister and former BJP president Rajnath Singh today said that people should give ‘strict democratic punishment’ to Congress party and its president Rahul Gandhi for using indent language against the Prime Minister.

Addressing a rally here before the nomination of party president and candidate for Gandhinagar Loksabha seat at Sardar Patel Chowk here, Singh said that in five year PM Modi has worked in magical manner and made India the sixth largest economy in the world. The country when he took rein as PM was being seen across the world as a country of poor and unemployed and now it was poised to become the third largest economy leaving either Russia,China or US behind by 2028.

‘The whole world now accepts that the rein of India was in strong hands. But the irony is that the Congress leader himself was using indecent language for the PM. I appeal to the people to give strictest possible democratic punishment to such party. You all have seen previous Congress regimes and also that the current PM and the ministers have no taint of corruption. When Rahul shouts the slogan of Chowkidar Chor hai, you all should shout even more loudly that Chowkidar Pure hai, Dobara PM banana sure hai or uske pas his sari samasyao ka cure hai,’ he said.

He also said that there should be no politicization of Balakot surgical strike. ‘During the 1971 battle with Pakistan our army fought with valour and divided the country. At that time the whole country was praising the then PM Indira Gandhi. Even our leader Atal Bihari Vajpayee did so in the parliament. Why similar treatment should not be done with PM Modi after Balakot surgical strike. Along with the army’s valour it is also about the political will of the government. What the then Congress government had done after the 26/11 Mumbai terror attack in which so many innocent lives were lost,’ Singh said.

Singh also praised Shah for the work he has done for the party. He said that Shah had in four and half year done what he could not accomplish in 5 and a half years as party president. BJP has now become the largest party in the world. He said that for BJP coalition was not compulsion but commitment and he urged people to make Shah, who was successor of legend like L K Advani on the Gandhinagar seat win with record margin.
