Kodinar: BJP president Amit Shah today hit out strongly at Congress party and its president Rahul Gandhi and said that sensing imminent defeat the opposition party under fear has again started blaming the EVMs even though only one phase of the election has happened so far.

He also sought apology from BSP and SP for the indecent comment by their candidate on Rampur LS seat, Azam Khan against BJP candidate and actress Jaya Prada terming it an insult of crores of women in the country.

Addressing an election rally in Kodinar of Gujarat Shah said,’ Congress and Rahul were speaking lies after lies as they have become fearful in their minds of imminent defeat. So far just one phase of election has happened and they have started the blame-game on EVM. Congress is saying that BJP will win due to EVMs. Recently Congress itself won the assembly elections in three states of Rajasthan, MP and Chhattisgarh and EVMs were used there also. Why Congress formed government in those states and took oaths. Wherever they win the EVMs are good and in case of defeat this machines become bad.’

He said that Congress has in fact become puzzled and was trying to speak lies and that too loudly.

He said that Rahul Gandhi spoke lies about a recent order of the apex court about Rafale matter and has now been summoned by the court to give clarification. The court only removed a preliminary objection and Rahul said that it has hit out at the government which was not correct. BJP MP Meenaxi Lekhi approached the court and and now Rahul has been given notice to answer the court.

Shah also said that Rahul should make his stand clear about Azam Khan’s indecent remarks against Jaya Prada.

BJP President said that after Pulwama attack Pakistan had sealed its land borders with tanks and canons and everybody was wondering how a surgical strike would be conducted but on the 13 th day the air force made aerial strike and destroyed terrorists camp in Pakistan and there were celebrations all over the country and mourning in Pakistan.

‘But there was mourning like scene in the Congress office also. It seemed as if they have lost their own family men. Party leader Sam Pitroda said that there should not be such an action for the act of four to five people,’ he said.

Shah in his typical style said,’ Should there not be a tough action for martyring our 40 jawans. Rahul baba, If you have to do ILU-ILU with terrorists you do but BJP government would give them befitting reply.’

He also talked at length about various achievements of Modi government including giving constitutional statue to OBC commission and 10% quota for poor people of non-reserved communities but said that the biggest achievement was making the country secure. He also said that Modi alone could ensure the security of the country.

Shah also attacked Rahul for his silence on the statement of National Conference leader Omar Abdullah in which he had talked about a separate PM for Kashmir. He alleged that Rahul was keeping mum for vote-bank. ‘Should anyone support such a party which puts on stake the unity and integrity of the country. So long as even a single BJP worker was alive no one separate Kashmir from India,’ he said.

He also appealed the people of Gujarat to make BJP victorious on all the 26 seats of the state. ‘Looking at the scenario during poll time, Narendrabhai’s return to power was sure,’ he said.
