Why ECI has yet not published final voters turnout in 3rd phase, here is the reason

Gandhinagar: The Election Commission of India (ECI) has yet not declared final figures of voters turnout in third phase of Lok Sabha general elections 2019 including the figures of turnout of all 26 Lok Sabha seats in Gujarat.

The reason behind this is yet to arrive postal ballots. Once all postal ballots arr received, the final figure of turnout will be out. Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) Gujarat had declared 64.11% turnout figure, but that was not final figure of turnout. Final figure will be out only after all postal ballots are received.

Take an example of Bharuch Lok Sabha seat. As many as 6,395 employees and 2,380 security jawans involved in election duty had cast their votes through postal ballots. As on Friday, the election commission had received as many as 4200 postal ballots. However arrival of rest of postal ballot votes is awaited.

Addition of postal ballot votes to EVM votes will offer final figure of turnout.

It should be mentioned that ECI had published estimated voter turnout of phase-2 of Lok Sabha elections on April 19 and final voter turnout of phase 1 and phase 2 on April 20 on its website.
