Vadodara: More than 2000 bottles of Indian Made Foreign Liquor, being smuggled from neighboring Madhya Pradesh to Gujarat via Rajasthan was seized by police in Savli police station area of Vadodara district today.
Police said that based on a tip off, the state vigilance squad checked a small truck and altogether 2036 bottles of liquor hidden in a frame made in the bottom part of the vehicle were seized.
One Pruthviraj Beniram Jat resident of Banswada, Rajasthan who tried to flee with the truck was nabbed.
Police said that the liquor was loaded at Chakaliya in MP and was being taken to Rajkot.
The mobile phone of the accused has also been recovered from the truck.
