Ahmedabad: AMC teams out to capture stray cows were attacked with stones and bricks by a group of cow rearer, locally known as ‘Maldharis’ in Odhav area of city today morning. At least three vehicles were attacked with stones and window glasses were broken by a huge group of local Maltharis. In last one week, at least three incidents of injuries caused by stray cows have come to notice in which one 62-year old person is dead. Police has detained over three dozen women after the incident as gents responsible for attack had left their homes and the area. It is learnt that police has filed case against a violent mob of around 300 people, many of them women. More details are awaited.
