Coast Guard save fishing boats near Veraval

Veraval: The Indian Coast Guard today rescued fishing boats in danger at Veraval Harbour with the cyclonic winds of VAYU crossing close to Veraval.
According to a statement issued by the coast guards tonight the fishing boats are hoisted on jetty as a precautionary measures during monsoon and cyclonic conditions. Due to limited space in the fishery harbour at Veraval, few boats were kept on anchor within the harbour.
Due to strong cyclonic winds the boats anchor started drifting, causing panic amongst the fishermen for safety of their boats. They requested Indian Coast Guard for shelter at ICG Jetty. The Disaster Response team shifted the boats to Coast Guard Jetty using crane with the joint coordination of ICG and Fishery Association.
