Ahmedabad : Amid predictions of heavy rain fall under the influence of low pressure area caused by erstwhile Cyclone VAYU, Ahmedabad city has also seen moderate rain till early evening today.

According to met department more rain was in the offing for the city during night.

At least 30 incidents of falling of trees have also been reported while serious water logging was seen at four places.

However operation of no underpass in the city has been hampered.

According to the data released by the AMC, till 4 pm today 18.14mm of average rain was witnessed in the city of which the maximum 31.95mm was in the eastern zone. Among other zones, west received 13.13, north west 20.50, south 28.50, central 8.25, north 18.20 and south 6.75mm only.

In all 55 taluka across the state have seen rain till early evening today with Una in Gir Somnath district seeing the highest of 70mm.
