Gandhinagar:An upper air cyclonic circulation over South Gujarat and adjoining areas extending from 1.5 km to 2.1 km above mean sea level is causing rain in parts of south and central Gujarat and the met has issued heavy rain warning for parts of South Gujarat region for tomorrow where the monsoon is also likely to make an entry within 48 hours.

The met bulletin issued here this evening said that Heavy rains were very likely at isolated places in the districts of South Gujarat region namely Tapi, Dangs, Valsad, Navsari and adjoining union territory of Daman, Dadra Nagar Haveli.

Till 4 pm today 29 talukas of 15 district have seen rain with Nizer in Tapi topping the table at 48mm. Olpad in Surat has seen 32 mm, Kadi in Mahesana 23 while Dascroi in Ahmedabad district 19 mm.

Temperatures meanwhile were moderate and likely to remain so during next 2 to 3 days as no large change is expected.
Kandala Airport with 39.5 °C was hottest today. In Ahmedabad the maximum at 33.5 °C was 4.2°C below normal.

Light to moderate rain/thundershowers very likely at many places in all the districts of Gujarat region and in Daman, Dadra Nagar Haveli; at isolated places in the districts of Saurashtra namely Botad, Surendranagar. Dry weather very likely in Kutch district and remaining districts pf Saurashtra and in Diu.

DAY 2: (Valid from 0830 Hrs. IST of 25/06//2019 to 0830 Hrs. IST of 26/06/2019):-

Light to moderate rain/thundershowers very likely at many places in all the districts of Gujarat region and in Daman, Dadra Nagar Haveli; at a few places in the districts of Saurashtra namely Bhavnagar, Amreli, Gir Somnath, Rajkot and in Diu; at isolated places in Kutch district. Dry weather very likely in remaining districts of Saurashtra.
