Ahmedabad Metro faces power supply glitch, stopped at Apparel Park station for over four hours

Ahmedabad: The Ahmedabad Metro train today faced glitches and was stopped at Apparel Park station for over four hours.
DyGM of the Gujarat Metro Rail Corporation (GMRC) Ltd, A K Pathak said that when the train was at Apparel park – the last station on the operational 6.5 km stretch from Vastral – a technical problem regarding power supply occurred at around 1.04 pm.
‘The train was immediately stopped and passengers were safely evacuated. The team reached there and efforts to restore the operation were on till 5.30m ,’ he said.
Pathak said that a second train in place of the technically troubled one would soon be made operational. He reiterated that there was no issue with the train but it was with the power supply or the third rail system along the track on the bottom.
Metro was inaugurated on March 4 this year.
