ACB nabs traffic constable for demanding bribe for filing accident complaint

Ahmedabad: The Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) of Gujarat today nabbed a head constable in traffic department for demanding a bribe of Rs 10,000/- from a man for filing an accident complaint.
ACB Assistant Director D P Chudasama said that Sujal Kapadia, head constable in the B division of traffic police in the city had demanded the bribe from the complainant saying that otherwise the FIR won’t be lodged and it would be showed that his father driving the vehicle was on the wrong side of the road.
A trap was laid on July 16 to nab him red handed but the head constable become suspicious that day and went away from the spot without taking the money. Later during investigation the complaint was found to be correct and Kapadia was nabbed today.
