ACB nabs Fisheries Superintendent in South Gujarat taking bribe for renewal of boat licenses

Valsad: The Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) of Gujarat police today nabbed raid handed a Superintendent rank officer of Fisheries department here red handed for taking bribe for renewal of licenses and Vehicle Registration Certificate (VRC) of fishing boats.
Assistant Director of ACB D P Chudasama said that Jagdish N Tandel (58), Superintendent Fisheries and current in-charge assistant director of it in Valsad, had sought Rs 10,000 bribe from a man who worked as an agent in the office for making/renewal of fishing boat licenses and VRCs.
On his complaint the ACB team laid a trap in his officer here today and nabbed him red handed.
