Ahmedabad based media college NIMCJ to grow into 5-acre NIMCaR

Ahmedabad: In a bid to keep pace with the rapid expansion and evolution of the media industry in India, the Vishwa Samvad Education Foundation (VSEF) will unveil its Vision 2021, under which the National Institute of Mass Communication and Journalism (NIMCJ) will be transformed into a much bigger and better self in the form of National Institute of Media, Communication and Research (NIMCaR).
The Vishwa Samvad Education Foundation started NIMCJ in 2007. It recently introduced the Bachelor of Journalism and Mass Communication (BJMC), a course affiliated to Gujarat University, along with its flagship course PG Diploma in Mass Communication and Journalism (PGDMCJ).
The Vision 2021 will be unveiled at 6:00 pm at JB Auditorium, Ahmedabad Management Association, on August 3.
Padma Shri Awardee and Actor Manoj Joshi will be the Chief Guest, and Gujarat University Vice Chancellor Dr Himanshu Pandya the Guest of Honour on the occasion.
The NIMCaR will be spread over a sprawling 5-acre campus in Hajipur village of Kalol taluka in Gandhinagar. The Institute will be equipped with an advanced studio, Media Research Centre, Media Museum, and several other facilities to transform media and communication education in India.
