Gau Shala with AC ward in North Gujarat; CM to inaugurate it on August 8

Gandhinagar: Chief Minister Rupani will inaugurate a revamped cow hospital of Shri Rajaram Gau Shala on August 8. The hospital has been constructed with aid by Palanpur Gau Seva Samiti at a cost of Rs. 1.50 crore. The hospital has facilities such as ICU, Cancer, Orthopedic, separate section for ailing cows and even AC ward. A separate section has also been created for cattle feed.
The Gau Shala is located on Deesa – Dhanera road. It was set up in year 1999. The Gau Shala has 250-person staff. It is spread over 300 acre area. It has total 5300 cows, of which 1200 are ailing and weak.
Gau Shala has separate departments for calf, ailing cows and healthy cows. Conservation an breeding of Kankreji cow also take place here. Farmers take away around 500 milk giving cows from here every year.
Gau Shala has one vet doctor with ambulance.
