Gandhinagar: The Government of Gujarat and ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) have announced cancellation of all scheduled programmes and functions on Wednesday following passing away of senior party leader and former minister of external affairs Smt. Sushma Swaraj in Delhi.

Chief Minister Rupani was scheduled to celebrate completion of three years of his government in a grand function at Mahatma Mandir in capital Gandhinagar under the title ‘Sankalp thi Siddhi taraf’. The Chief Minister was also scheduled to launch various government schemes and a policy in this function.

Due to passing away of late BJP leader Swaraj, the Chief Minister has also postponed ‘Mukhyamantri Saathe Mokla Mane’ interaction programme which was scheduled to take place at his residence in the morning.

Gujarat BJP chief Jitu Vaghani said the party has cancelled all its functions on Wednesday.
