Ahmedabad to witness operation of 500 electric buses: CM Rupani
August 29, 2019
Ahmedabad: Speaking at the launch of 8 electric buses here today, Gujarat Chief Minister Rupani said the city will witness operation of 500 electric buses eventually.
According to a note issued by the State government, so far the AMC has planned operation of 50 electric buses including 18 buses that use battery swapping technology and 32 buses that use fast charging technology.
Electric buses have no engines and therefore they function without air or sound pollution. These buses run on automatic mode without gear box, the note said.
