Hazira – Bandra ( Surat – Mumbai) passenger ferry service from November this year: Gujarat govt

Gandhinagar: Gujarat government today said the State Chief Minister has given in-principle approval to start Hazira (Surat) – Bandra (Mumbai) passenger ferry service.
According to the details shared by the government, private firm SSR Marine Service Pvt Ltd will operate a 300-passenger capacity ferry with facilities matching to foreign cruise ships. A fully-air conditioned passenger ferry will have 20-room facility.
The service, according to State government statement will start from November this year, initially for once in a week. Regular service will be scheduled later as per availability of passenger traffic.
The ferry ship will leave Bandra every Thursday and reach Hazira at 9 am on Friday. In return journey it will leave Hazira at 6.00 pm and reach Bandra on Saturday at 8.00 am.
