Gujarat govt and BJP to celebrate crossing of 138 meter level in Narmada dam on PM’s birthday ; CM invites PM for special presence

Gandhinagar: The Government of Gujarat and ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will celebrate crossing of 138 meter water level in Sardar Sarovar Narmada dam on September 17 – birth day of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Top level of water in Sardar Sarovar ever shall be 138.68 meter.

State BJP chief Jitu Vaghani, addressing a press conference at State part headquarters Kamalam here said the party and the government will hold statewide programmes at 10 am on September 17 to mark crossing of 138 meter height in Sardar Sarovar Narmada dam. An overflow at that height will be a big event. It will be also celebrated at each district headquarters and each of 5,000 taluka panchayat seat areas.

He said Narmade Sarvade Maha aarti programmes will be held and cultural performances will be presented at 9.30 am. Balloons will be release in sky and the event will be very colorful.

Vaghani said Chief Minister has formed a committee which is mainly represented by minister RC Faldu and MOS Pradipsinh Jadeja who are finalizing the details of the programme.

Vaghani said, starting from tomorrow, party will also observe ‘Seva Saptah’ to mark birthday of Prime Minister Modi under which various events linked with service will be organized during the week across the Sate.
