Will bring Indian envoys here for annual meet, this is start of New India: EAM S Jaishankar at Statue of Unity

New Delhi: External Affairs minister S. Jaishankar who also represents Gujarat in Rajya Sabha, today visited Statue of Unity and Sardar Sarovar Narmada dam. Jaishankar after visit to Statue of Unity, Narmada dam, Valley of Flowers and other attractions at Kevadia Colony in his brief talk with media persons said he was hopeful to bring all Indian envoys here for annual conference of Ministry of External Affairs in coming months. Jaishankar said we talk about New India and here is new India. It should be noted that Statue of Unity featuring Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel is the tallest statue in the world. It is located opposite Sardar Sarovar Narmada dam. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is going to visit the dam and statue site to mark top level of water in Narmada dam on September 17 – his birthday.
Jaishankar yesterday inaugurated a Passport Seva Kendra at district headquarters Rajpipla in Narmada district of Central Gujarat. It is the same district where Statue of Unity is located. Jaishankar had said that he was inaugurating first Passport Seva Kendra after becoming EAM in Gujarat here.
