High voltage drama ends, Vrushti and Shivam return to Ahmedabad, were living at hill station Kasol in HP

Ahmedabad: Vrushti Kothari, the fashion designing student in the city and her friend Shivam Patel, who went missing over 12 days ago, today returned to the city at their own at the request of police.

Vrushti’s missing case had come to limelight after actress Soha Ali Khan had tweeted about it from her account.

Briefing about the hi-profile ‘drama’ of sorts, JCP crime branch, Ajay Tomar said that they returned at their own and police has not pressurized them. The matter for which just an information and not any criminal complaint was registered in the Navrangpura police station would now be closed.

‘Shivam had searched for a place in the Himalaya on the internet and they willingly went to Kasol in Himachal Paresh, a hamlet in the district Kullu situated in Parvati Valley, on the banks of the Parvati River. They had not went there with enough money and used to eat at religious places and also earned some money by artistic work and painting activities in Kullu. They were old friends and had gone to Kasol for living freely for some time. The police after getting their location just requested them to return as their family members were worried.’ he said.
Tomar also said that the police did not want to get deeper in such personal issues. He confirmed that police could trace them on the basis of an email sent by Vrushti to her mother.

Vrushti had gone to Shivam’s house here on September 29 and both later went missing from the next day. The two were last seen at the railway station here alighting from an auto-rickshaw in a CCTV footage. Police had taken the statements of Vrushti’s parents, their servants driver, who dropped her at Satyam’s place and friends were also recorded.

In the tweet on October 2, Soha Ali Khan had requested the police to trace Vrushti quickly. “Guys! Please help out. Vrushti Jasubhai has been missing for 2 days now and her phone has not been reachable since. She lives in Ahmedabad, her parents are worried. Please help spread the word,” she had tweeted.
