Gujarat government will be virtually on “vacation” for six days during Diwali

Gandhinagar: The Government of Gujarat will be virtually on 6-day vacation starting from October 26.
October 26 – Fourth Saturday
October 27 – Diwali
October 28 – Gujarati New Year
October 29 – Bhai Bij
October 30 – Holiday declared by State Government
October 31 – Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Birth Anniversary
It’s worth noting the leave on 30th October was declared by State government yesterday evening. Instead of October 30, the government offices will work on November 9 (second Saturday).
With this the State government staffers will get a 6-day long Diwali “vacation”.
