Gandhinagar: Indian Naval Air Squadron 314 with newly inducted CS Dornier aircraft will be commissioned into Indian Navy at Porbandar in coastal Gujarat on Friday, November 29. Vice Admiral MS Pawar AVSM VSM, Deputy Chief of Naval Staff will be the Chief Guest for the occasion.

In another development, as a part of Navy Week activities 2019, a Indian Naval Symphonic Band Concert was conducted in Gujarat Diu & Daman Naval Area at Naval Base, INS Sardar Patel, Porbandar on 21 Nov 19. The band performance was witnessed by naval personnel and their families, civilian officials and prominent citizens / dignitaries. The Chief Guest for the event was Rear Admiral Sanjay Roye, Flag Officer Commanding, Gujarat Naval Area. Shri Babubhai Bhokhiriya, MLA, was the Guest of Honour. The band from INS Valsura enthralled the audience by performing martial tunes, patriotic songs, classical music, folk and popular regional songs.
