Gujarat achieves one glory with garnering 51% share of total IEM made in India

Gandhinagar: Gujarat has added one more feather to its industrial growth story by achieving the highest 51.23 % letter of intent Industrial Entrepreneurs Memorandum (IEM) for industrial investments made in the country, the state government said in a note.

‘Of the total IEMs investment worth Rs. 427494-crore filed upto October, 2019 in the country, Gujarat alone has garnered IEMs investment worth of Rs. 218,611—crore for setting up the industries here. In other words, Gujarat has garnered more than half of the total IEMs filed in the country.’

‘The expansion of scope of ‘Ease of Doing Business’ with transparent and cleaan administration made possible by the Chief Minister has motivated more industries to make investments in Gujarat, said the note adding that Chief Minister Rupani has set up a robust online facility for prompt clearance for easy availability of land and other necessary permissions for the industrialists intended to make investments for setting up industries in Gujarat. Beside these, the industrialists settting up industries in the industrial and service sectors in Gujarat, are being given more facilities under the liberal norms of ‘Ease of Doing Business’.’

In last 3-years, of the total 2,574 big industries setup in India, Gujarat alone had garnered 735 major industries. Gujarat has achieved more than double means 4,41,585 MSME compared to MSME setup in last three years. At present more than 34-lakh MSMEs are operational in Gujarat, which generate a large number of employment in Gujarat.

The note further stated, ‘the State Government is determined to make equal industrial growths in Kutch, Saurashtra, North Gujarat and South Gujarat regions of Gujarat for all-round development with generating maximum employment for the youths.’

‘With garnering of 51 % share of IEM through its industiral friendly atmosphere, Gujarat has become the ‘Role Model’ state of the country.’
