Ahmedabad: Municipal Commissioner and Managing Director‐ Sabarmati River Front Development Corporation ( SRFDCL) Vijay Nehra today reviewed the ongoing project work at Sabarmati Riverfront in the city and shared some information about upcoming new attractions about one of the pet projects of PM Narendra Modi.
He reviewed project works of Bio-Diversity park, Foot over Bridge, Multi level car parking and road among others.

He said that a large number of visitors from other cities and other countries were also coming to see the riverfront. To increase the visitor’s number further the riverfront was coming up with some new attractions.

Nehra talked about the tune of investments and estimated time of completion of various related projects.

The list of projects reviewed by the Municipal Commissioner and the specific detailes provided by him is as follows –

1. Bio diversity park‐ Work will be done till January 2020. The approximate cost will be Rs 2 crore.

2. Construction of road between Subhash Bridge in west to Railway Bridge will be done by February, 2020. The approximate cost will be Rs 5 crore.

3. Construction of sports complex in east behind NID will be done by April, 2020. The approximate cost will be Rs 15 crore.

4. Construction of B. J Park between Nehru bridge and Ellis Bridge will be done by August 2020. The approximate cost will be 5 crore.

5. Construction of Multi Level Car Parking on east side will be done by September, 2020. The approximate cost will be 60 crore.

6. Construction of Foot over bridge on Sardar bridge and Ellis bridge will be done by October, 2020. The approximate cost will be 74 crore.
