7 new flyover bridges to be built at cost of Rs. 335-Cr in Ahmedabad

Ahmedabad: With a view to ease the traffic congestions in Ahmedabad city, ‘Commercial Capital’ of Gujarat, Chief Minister Vijaybhai Rupani today decided to release Rs. 33.5-crore for constructing as many as seven flyovers (overpass) bridges.
Presently, the Chief Minister has decided to release just 10 % amount (Rs. 33.5 Cr) of the total construction costs of Rs. 335 works. The project works were sanctioned under the Swarnim Jayanti Chief Minister Urban Development Scheme (SJCMUDS).
These seven flyover bridges are – Vivekanandnagar River Bridge (4 lane), Vadaj Junction Flyover Bridge (4 lane), Pallav Junction Flyover Bridge (2×2 lane), Pragatinagar Junction Flyover Bridge (2×2 lane), Sattadhar Junction Flyover Bridge (4 lane), Ghodasar Flyover Bridge (2×2 lane), and Naroda Patia Junction Flyover Bridge (3×2 lane).
In the State Budget for 2019-20, it was announced that as many as 20 flyovers would be built in Ahmedabad city. Of them, the construction cost of these seven flyover (overpass) bridges would be Rs. 335-crore.
