Zalawad Mega Exhibition kicks off in Surendranagar

Surendranagar: Gujarat Chief Minister Mr. Vijaybhai Rupani today ascertained that Saurashtra region has become a hub of the MSME sector. “The people of Saurashtra with their hardworking and entrepreneurship quirks have created a unique niche for themselves in the global business map.”

The Chief Minister was speaking at inaugural function at theopening of 3-day long ‘Zalawad Mega Exhibition‘, organized by Zalawad Federation of Trade & Industries at Surendranagar city in Saurashtra region.

Mr. Rupani further stated that Rajkot for ball bearings, Jamnagar for brass parts, Surendranagar for ginning and spinning and Bhavnagar for shipping and breaking industries with their respective competence have made Saurashtra region as the hub of MSME sector.

He further added that the state government is determined to opening up the new employment opportunities in the MSME sectors and therefore many laws have been simplified. In addition to this, the state government has made an agreement with the Bank of Baroda for easy availing bank loans for a project of investment up to Rs. 5-crore for the MSME entrepreneurs.

The state government is also determined for the growth of salt industry located at Kharaghoda zone in Patdi area of Surendranagar district, Mr. Rupani further added.

The event was also graced by Member of Parliament Dr. Mahendra Munjpara, MLA Mr. Dhanjibhai Patel, Nagarpalika President Mr. Vipin Toliya, DDO Mr. Rajesh Kumar Rajyaguru, Sursagar Dairy Chairman Mr. Bababhai Sabhad, and others.
