Ahmedabad: Amid protests by Congress over farmers’ issues including reported shortage of fertilizers in parts of Gujarat, CM Vijay Rupani today termed it as a ‘drama’ of the main opposition party.
Talking to newsmen Rupani said that Congress has nothing to do with farmers and their issues but it was only doing drama.
‘Congress is just shedding crocodile’s tear in the name of farmers. It is indulged in drama. No farmer is supporting its protest events and only the party workers posing as farmers are attending these events,’ he said.
Rupani said that the BJP and his government always care for the farmers and remain concerned about their issues.
Notably, Congress MLA from Patan in North Gujarat, Kirit Patel today alleged that he had gone to meet the CM and the Agriculture minister on farmers issue especially for making available fertilizers but both the leaders were not present. He has also written a letter to them.
