RPF recovers 140 liquor bottles hidden in toilet roofs of 2 coaches of Ashram Express, 3 arrested

Ahmedabad: The Railway Protection Force (RPF) today recovered a large number of liquor bottles hidden in the roof of the toilets of two coaches of 12916 Delhi-Ahmedabad Ashram Express and arrested 3 people in this connection.
Assistant Commandant of RPF P D Tiwary said that altogether 140 bottles of liquors hidden in the lavatories of the S 8 and S 10 sleeper coaches were recovered at the Ahmedabad railway station and three people identified as Anwar F Qureshi (45), B. A Qureshi (21) and Jishan A Qureshi (20), all three residents of Agra in Uttar Pradesh. They had loaded the liquors in the train somewhere in Rewadi in Haryana.
Tiwary said that the seizure has been done by a special team of the RPF which had on January 5 also seized 48 such bottles from the same train at Ahmedabad railway station and arrested one person in this connection while on January 6, another man was arrested from 19032 Yoga Express at Unjha station with 45 liquor bottles.
