ATS Gujarat nabs a terror suspect in Vadodara

Vadodara: The Anti Terrorist Squad (ATS) of Gujarat police has nabbed a man of Tamilnadu from Gorwa area in Vadodara city of Gujarat, who was trying to create a terrorist module in the state on the ideology of ISIS.
An ATS official today said that he along with five other people from Tamilnadu who were involved in crimes like murders etc had disappeared from their native. They were trying to spread Jehadi activities.
He said that the nabbed terrorist has been identified as Zafar Alim Mohammed Halik resident of Reddiyar Street in Melpattampakkam town in Cuddalore district of Tamilnadu. Zafar was living in a slum like area in Gorwa locality of Vadodara and was arrested from near Panchwati circle during a joint operation of the ATS and Vadodara police on the basis of a tip off.
He has during initial interrogation accepted that he was trying to start a new terror module in the state.
He was wanted in criminal incidents in Tamilnadu and Delhi. He would be handed over to the special cell of the Delhi police for further interrogation.
