Mercury takes a nosedive in Gujarat, Naliya shivers at 3.3°C in the coldest night of this winter so far

Gandhinagar:Amid heavy snowfall and rain in North India and orange alert in several districts of Himachal Pradesh, mercury in Gujarat has also taken a nosedive in the last 24 hours with Naliya seeing a record low of 3.3 °.
The last night was the coldest night of this winter in the state so far as at-least 8 places including Ahmedabad across the state saw the mercury going below 10 °C. The minimum temperatures fall by over 7 °C at several places including Naliya and capital Gandhinagar the two most coldest places in just one night. In Ahmedabad also the mercury fell by almost 4 °C .
According to the official data issued by the IMD center Ahmedabad this morning, the capital city Gandhinagar at 7.5 °C was second coldest in the state.
Bhuj at 8.3 °C was third coldest place. Deesa and Kandla Airport recorded a similar minimum of 8.4 °C. Keshod 8.8 °C, Rajkot 9 °C and Ahmedabad 9.6 °C.
Among other places Surat has seen a minimum of 12.8 °C, Vadodara 10 °, Diu 10.5 °C, Surendranagar 10.9 °C, Porbandar 12.4 °C, VV Nagar 10 °C Bhavnagar 13.4 °C and Dwarka 14 °C.
