Light rain likely on Jan 13:Met

Ahmedabad: The met department has said that the biting cold being felt in Ahmedabad and many other places in Gujarat was not due to any cold-wave but due to the abnormally low maximum temperatures resulting in lowering of the median temperatures.
The met has predicted that the minimum temperatures would improve by 3 to 4 degree Celsius in next two to three days. It has also forecast about likelihood of light rain in parts of North Gujarat, Saurashtra and Kutch on January 13.
Maximum temperature in Ahmedabd city today was just 22.7°C which was five notches below normal. The same in Dwarka was even lower at 22.2 °. The minimum in Ahmedabad at 10.1°C was also lower by almost 3 notches.
According to the met bulletin issued by the IMD center here today on January 13, Light rain was likely at isolated places in the district of North Gujarat region namely Banaskantha and in the districts of Saurashtra-Kutch namely Dwarka, Jamnagar and Kutch.
Notably today the temperatures had improved slightly to moderately at several places yet Naliya at 4.2 °C was coldest while Deesa at 6.1 °C was second coldest.
