Fake booklet with RSS chief’s picture and ‘proposed changes in constitution’ in circulation on WhatsApp; complaint filed

Ahmedabad: RSS cadre Dinesh Vala here has filed complaint in Cyber Crime wing of Ahmedabad Police regarding a fake digital booklet being circulated in the name of RSS chief Shri Mohan Bhagwat.

RSS karyavah of Maninagar area, Shri Vala has in his complaint stated that his lawyer friend Dashrath Yadav sent him a PDF file on whatsapp to check whether it’s a genuine one. The file was titled as ‘new constitution of India’ with a photograph of RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat in RSS uniform on its cover.

From page two to page sixteen, as many as thirteen points were mentioned regarding proposed changes in India’s constitution. It was claimed in this digital booklet that while this was the draft of new constitution, the detailed copy was being prepared. The people were urged to send their thoughts and suggestions on this draft to Prime Minister’s Office in New Delhi by March 15 this year with another copy to RSS office in Nagpur. Good suggestions would be rewarded with Rs. 1,000 prize. The booklet ended with the words ‘Vande Mataram’.

Complainant has stated that the content of this booklet was divisive and fake.

Complainant in his complaint said that he sent this file to senior RSS functionary Shri Maheshbhai Parikh who also confirmed that it was completely fake, false and bad-intentioned text.

Police has filed complaint under IPC section 153, 153A, 505(1)b, 5051c, 505(2) and IT amendment act 2008 section 66C.
