8 including NRI couple from Kenya and 5 residents of AP die in two road mishaps in Gujarat

Ahmedabad: At least 8 people including an NRI couple of Gujarati origin and five residents of Andhra Pradesh died and five others injured in two road mishaps in Ahmedabad and Surendranagar districts of Gujarat today.

Police said that a speeding car rammed in to a truck going in front of it near Mithapur village under Bagodara taluka of Ahmedabad district today killing the driver of the car and a NRI couple of Gujarati origin identified as Ketanbhai Hariya (55) and his wife Kundanben (54). They lived in Kenya and had come to their native place Jamnagar on January 10. Their car was coming towards Ahmedabad from Jamnagar when the accident occurred. The deceased driver has been identified as Hiren Doshi (49), resident of Jamnagar.

In another road mishap on Ahmedabad Rajkot highway near Devpara village of Surendranagar district five people including two woman, all residents of Andhra Pradesh died when the car in which they were returning from Somnath jumped off the divider and hit a truck coming from the opposite direction. Five others injured in the mishap.
