Bharuch: At least 3 people including a woman died and 28 other passengers of a luxury bus injured when it rammed in to a tanker from behind on National Highway 48 near Luwara village in Bharuch district of Gujarat in the early hours today, police said.

Police said that the bus was coming from Surat to Vadodara. The mishap occurred in Nabipur area when the bus hit the tanker trying to take a turn, from behind.

31 passengers of the bus were injured three of whom identified as Jasiben M Chavda (42), Manish A Joshi (39) and Prakash T Gorasiya (30) later died during treatment. All the three deceased were residents of Surat.
