Plate load test of land done in Bharuch district for bullet train project

Bharuch: Bharuch district will have 53 km elevated track of Ahmedabad – Mumbai high speed railway (bullet train), passing through 28 villages of Bharuch, Amod, Ankleshwar and Jambusar talukas. National High Speed Railway Corporation (NHSRC) is actively doing ground work ahead of construction of elevated track. A survey team did plate load test at Kantharia village of Bharuch on bullet train route in order to test load bearing capacity of land. The ground work is being carried out under the leadership of Chief Project Manager Amiyanshu Das. So far, the works such as RLW boundary and JMS joint measurement are over.

A team from Japan also visited the site of proposed route of bullet train over river Narmada. It is learnt that a new 1400 meter long bridge for bullet train will come up between Kukarwaa and Aarfuddin(on Ankleshwar side). It will be a PC box, girder bridge.

Over all, 136 common properties, 113 residential properties, 117 other structures will affect on bullet train route involving 324 people, 64 families, 18 schools(in 1 to 10 km limit). The total land required will be 21.41 lakh sqm. Rs. 319.85 crore will be spent for this project in this district.
