Rajkot gets new bus port; it will take some time to start operations

Rajkot: Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani inaugurated a new bus port in Rajkot for Gujarat State Road Transport Corporation (GSRTC) construction in public private partnership (PPP) mode.
This new bus port replaces the old Central bus station in 11,589 square meter space. It has been constructed at a cost of Rs. 45.23 crore.
The Chief Minister speaking on this occasion announced two new bus station in Rajkot on Bhavnagar road and Jamangar road.
A new bus port will take time to function. According to GSRTC official, the new bus port will take at least one and half month time to start operations. Till then, bus operations will continue tot ake place at old Shastri ground based bus station.
