Cold wave makes another return in parts of Gujarat, temperatures dip by up to over 6°C in just a day

Gandhinagar: Cold wave made a return today in parts of Gujarat with temperatures dipping by over 5 degree Celsius at several places including Ahmedabad.

The met has also issued cold wave warning for isolated places for tomorrow though it has said that the temperatures were not likely to see any major change in the next 48 hours.

According to the met bulletin of the IMD center in Ahmedabad issued this evening Naliya which saw almost 6 °C of downfall in just a day with mercury dipping up to 6.5°C remained coldest across the state.

Kandla port at 10.1 °C was second in this regard. Ahmedabad city also saw over 5 notches decline in the mercury in just 24 hours to record the minimum of 12.1 °C today which was almost a notch below normal.

The return of cold-wave has been caused by the northerwesterly winds after heavy snowfall in Northern states.

The cold wave warning for tomorrow has been issued for the isolated pockets in the districts of Saurashtra- Kutch namely Bhavnagar, Rajkot and Kutch. These are the same areas which saw similar conditions today also.
