3 wagons of goods train derail near Ankaleshwar station in Gujarat, rail traffic completely disrupted on Mumbai Ahmedabad down line

Vadodara: Three wagons of an empty goods train returning from Maharashtra derailed near Ankaleshwar railway station in Bharuch district of Gujarat this evening disrupting the rail traffic completely on the Mumbai-Ahmedabad down line.

PRO of the Vadodara Division of the Western Railway Khemraj Meena said that the incident took place at around 637pm this evening. No casualty has been reported in the incident.

Due to this the plying of trains on the down line has been completely disrupted and several trains have been stopped at various stations due to this.

He said that efforts were on to clear the track at the earliest but it was not possible to say at this juncture as to how much time would it take.

Meena said that the down line trains could be moved through the up line if the need arose but for now they did not want to put additional load on the up line on this busy rail route.
